Model FDC – In-line Gear Drive Fire Door Motor Operator
For fire doors are up to 350 square feet in standard cycle applications

The high efficiency in this fire commercial garage doors have an in-line gear reducer. The fire shutters have a horizontal front of coil or wall mount. The fire door provides automatic closing without a loss of spring tension – eliminates the need for a traditional mechanical reset. There is an electronic thermal sensor, detector or alarm activation of motor controlled closing or internal release and brake controlled closing. The provision for optional remote fusible link release connection is a 72-hour battery backup with automatic closing prior to complete discharge of the batteries. The close on the alarm feature is to close the door though a motor operator upon activation by a thermal sensor, detector or alarm will activate warning devices (if provided), and close door after the selectable time delay. If an obstruction is encountered, it will cycle upon contact with and/or stop on the obstruction, internally release and continue closed when the obstruction is removed with the closing speed controlled through the brake (requires door to be provided with a sensing edge).
The automatic closing upon a power loss prior to the battery discharge – will activate warning devices (if provided), internally release and close the door after the selectable time delay with the closing speed controlled by the brake. If an obstruction is encountered, the door will stop on the obstruction and will continue to close after it is removed (requires door be provided with a sensing edge). The failsafe closing in the event of system failure – will internally release and close the door with a controlled descent. The auto-reset is to restore normal operation of the door by activating the open control after the alarm is cleared/power is restored 1/2 and 1 hp 115V, 230V – 1ph / 208-230V, 460V – 3ph
NOTE: FDC fire door motor operators do not have an auxiliary chain hoist or auxiliary release.
